Governments are known to test new types of weapons on animals. Bird government testing is one of the ways that governments can test new biological and new gas weapons. Bird government testing is used to determine the toxicity of the weapons before they are used in war. When bird government testing occurs the birds are placed into a sealed room, where the chemical or biological virus is released. Scientists then observe the effect the gas, or biological unit has on the birds. Bird government testing is disliked by many groups of people. There are many activists who constantly try to stop bird government testing from occurring. Most animal rights groups believe that bird government testing should be illegal. Bird government testing is also dangerous. If the chemical or biological unit finds its way outside of the test zone, then it has the possibility to spread quickly. One of the greatest suspicions of the bird flu’s origin was through bird government testing, where some of the birds that were exposed to the bird flu virus escaped, and rapidly spread the virus.
